What is a hoof knife used for?

B2B · OEM · PRIVATE LABEL · CUSTOM PACKAGING
A hoof knife is used to clean and pare the sole and frog and to trim the hoof wall. The blade is curved so it can pull through horn in a controlled stroke, and the knife is held in the working hand with the blade drawn towards the user. The tool is part of every farrier's kit and is used in cattle hoof care as well.
Blades are made for right-handed or left-handed use, and edges can be single or double. Blade length, hook shape and handle material vary between patterns, and edge hardness decides how long the knife holds its edge. We confirm these from your reference piece. See also the hoof nippers and hoof rasp that complete the set.
Confirmed against your approved drawing or sample before production.
