Product overview

Balling guns: head, length and species sizes.

A balling gun, sometimes called a bolus gun, places a bolus or large tablet at the back of the animal's mouth so it is swallowed. The bolus is held in the head of the gun and released by a plunger when the head is in position. Length is chosen so the head reaches the back of the mouth without the user's hand being in it.

Head size, shaft length and plunger action vary between designs and between large and small livestock. Metal and plastic constructions are made. We confirm size and construction from your reference piece. The gun is used with whatever product the veterinarian directs; we supply the instrument only. For liquids, see the drenching gun.
